National Night Out (NNO) is an annual citywide community event supported by the Riverside Police and Fire Departments in partnership with our residents, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and city officials that brings neighbors together to promote community partnerships, crime prevention, and solidarity. It's a night to connect with your neighbors, police officers, firefighters, and other community organizations while having fun and taking a stand against crime.

How Can You Participate?

Host a Party - Gather your neighbors, fire up the grill, and enjoy an evening of food, music, and games right on your street or on your front lawn. Strengthen bonds with those who live around you while sending a powerful message that your community stands united against crime. Are you planning on hosting a Neighborhood Block Party? Make sure to submit your permit, if you plan to close streets.

Engage with Law Enforcement – Connect with a Community Services Officer, Police Officer, or Firefighter. Take part in demonstrations, learn about crime prevention strategies, and discover how you can work together to keep your neighborhood safe.

Spread the Word - Share the excitement with your friends, family, and neighbors. Encourage them to mark their calendars and join in the festivities. The more, the merrier!

How Will Your Neighborhood Benefit?

Your event will help strengthen neighborhood spirit, police-community partnerships, and will send a message to criminals that you have taken control of your neighborhood and they are being watched.
