Riverside City Manager Scott Barber Announces Intention to Retire

Scott Barber, who has served as Riverside’s City Manager for three years, today (9/10) announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2014. Barber, who has more than 28 years of experience in local government, has been City Manager in Riverside since Dec. 6, 2011. He previously served as Riverside’s first Community Development Director for six years.

Nominations Welcomed for 2014 Riverside Heroes Awards

The City of Riverside Human Relations Commission will honor residents whose outstanding volunteer service has benefited the community at the Riverside Heroes Awards, to be held on November 13. Nominations may be made until 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 1. Nomination forms may be downloaded from the City’s website at www.riverside.ca.gov/hrc. Completed nomination forms may be submitted by mail, email, or in person to the Riverside Human Relations Commission.
