The City of Riverside, which is dedicated to fostering a culture of health in area businesses by promoting health and wellness among employees, is hosting the Riverside Worksite Wellness Forum Nov. 6. The 8:30 a.m. event encouraging businesses to become a Fit-Friendly organization will be held in the Mayor's Ceremonial Room at City Hall, 3900 Main Street.

Riverside Named Coolest California City For Reducing Carbon Emissions

The City of Riverside was named the state’s Coolest California City Thursday by the California Air Resources Board in recognition of Riverside’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions during the past six months through the CoolCalifornia City Challenge.

Do you have artistic talent? Are you a middle or high school student in the City of Riverside? Would you like to be $500 or even $1,000 richer? If you answered "yes" to these questions, the 2015 Anti-Graffiti Poster and Video Contests are for you!

Sponsored by the City of Riverside Public Works Department, these two contests encourage students to express themselves creatively through legal artwork while discouraging graffiti vandalism. The contests are open until 3 p.m. Dec. 31.

The California Association of Human Relations Organizations (CAHRO) will come to Riverside next month to kick off a series of workshops designed to help community leaders understand what resources are available to create a more informed and inclusive multicultural society. The first workshop is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mayor's Ceremonial Room on the seventh floor of Riverside City Hall, 3900 Main Street.

Riverside Residents Can Apply for Openings on Code of Ethics Ad Hoc Committee

The City of Riverside is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Code of Ethics and Conduct Review Ad Hoc Committee. The Committee will consist of nine members, including one from each ward and two at-large seats. The Committee’s charge is to review the Code of Ethics and Conduct and forward recommendations on the complaint process to the City Council Governmental Affairs Committee.
