Liquid Waste Haulers Permits

The Riverside Water Quality Control Plant’s liquid waste hauler dump station is now open, for limited hours, while the automated monitoring system is being repaired. Please call 951-351-6140 to inquire about the status of the repair.
Temporary hours are from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Liquid waste haulers are required to obtain a permit in order to bring waste for disposal at the RWQCP. The City charges 3¢ per gallon of waste disposal. Liquid waste hauler permits are renewed each year. The Environmental Compliance Section can help you obtain and renew your Liquid Waste Hauler permits.

Obtaining a Permit

To obtain a permit for waste disposal at the RWQCP, liquid waste haulers must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Current City of Riverside business license.
  • Completed permit application.
  • Swipe card from the Environmental Compliance Section to operate the dump station.
Proof of the following liability insurance:
Commercial General Liability Insurance*
Vendor shall maintain commercial general liability with a limit of not less than $1,000,000.00 each occurrence/$2,000,000.00 in the annual aggregate.  

Business Auto Liability Insurance*
Vendor shall maintain business auto liability with a limit of not less than $1,000,000.00 each accident.

Worker’s Compensation and Employer’s Liability Insurance
Vendor shall maintain workers’ compensation insurance as required by the State of California and employer’s liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 per accident for bodily injury or disease, or sign form stating vendor has no employees.

*General and Auto Liability Insurance needs to have an Endorsement page(s) that modifies the policy by naming the City of Riverside as additionally insured.
