Where: Magnolia Center & Wood Streets Neighborhoods

  • Maintenance and repair work of existing electrical system infrastructure
  • Replacement of:
    • 170 utility poles
    • 46 transformers
    • 22,800 linear feet of conductor and related overhead distribution facilities
  • New installations will enhance electrical system reliability in the area

End: Fall 2024

Streetlight Replacement

Where: Downtown Neighborhood

  • Maintenance and repair work of existing electrical system infrastructure
  • Streetlight system will be upgraded to new streetlight standards
  • New installations will maintain the historical integrity of the existing 100-year-old system, utilize LED technology for energy efficiency, and improve street lighting levels in the area.

Overhead Electric System Inspection Program – Area 2 (Pole Inspections)

Where: Northside,Downtown, Wood Streets and Grand Neighborhoods

  • Improve overall electric system reliability in the area
  • Contractor will conduct overhead inspection and wood pole testing

Water Transmission Valve Replacement Project (Phase V)

Where: Arlington Heights, University & Eastside Neighborhoods

  • Maintenance and repair work of existing water system infrastructure
  • Work includes installation of 4 water transmission main valves in the following locations:
    • Mockingbird Reservoir (1 valve)
    • Chicago Avenue & 7th Street (2 valves)
    • Park Ave (1 valve)
    • Trench Repaving
  • New installations will improve water system operations and reliability

Market Street Water Main Replacement Project

Where: Downtown Neighborhood

  • Maintenance and repair work of existing water system infrastructure
  • Work includes:
    • Construction of approximately 1,200 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe and 15 water services
    • Replacing an 8-inch Matheson Steel water pipeline
    • Installation of 2 Fire Hydrants
    • Installation of 5 System Connections
    • Pavement Restoration
  • Replacement of this pipeline will enhance the water system’s reliability and fire flow in the area.

Lincoln Avenue Techite Pipeline Replacement Project (between Jefferson and Madison)

Where: Casa Blanca Neighborhood

  • Replacement of aged and undersized water pipelines currently in use along Lincoln Avenue
  • Work includes:
    • Replacing approximately 3,400 linear feet of 42-inch Techite pipeline along Lincoln Avenue with 54-inch diameter CML&C steel pipeline.
    • Pavement Restoration

Where: Ramona Neighborhood

  • Maintenance and repair work of existing water system infrastructure
  • Work includes:
    • Construction of approximately 3,640 Feet of PVCOPipe
      75 Water Service Connections
      6 Fire Hydrants
      6 System Connections and Incidental Work
    • Pavement Restoration

      6 System Connections and Incidental Work
    • Pavement Restoration
