The Heritage House hosts special events and fundraisers throughout the year, which include:

ButterflyMusic in the Gardens

A night of music, wine, and hors d’oeuvres in the Heritage House Gardens. Hosted by the RMA, Heritage House Operations Committee, the Music in the Gardens event proceeds benefit the Heritage House and its programs.

Chinese Moon Festival

An important and traditional Chinese event, which takes place during the eighth lunar moon. During this annual celebration of Chinese culture explore Chinese traditions through art, food, and storytelling in the Heritage House gardens.

Victorian ChristmasVictorian Christmas Open House

Each year in December, Heritage House hosts a free Victorian Christmas Open House. Enjoy a traditional Victorian Christmas featuring Father Christmas, musical entertainment, home-baked sweets, and hot mulled cider.

Ice Cream Social

An afternoon of free ice cream, lemonade, and entertainment at the Heritage House. Old-fashioned ice cream demonstrations, Victorian games, book signings by local historian, and a special patriotic reenactment by the Sons of the American Revolution with musket firing, cotillion dance, and a parade through the grounds, all in revolutionary-war era costumes.

Children’s Tea Party & Etiquette Presentation

A Victorian tea party for children ages 5-10. Children learn Victorian and modern etiquette while enjoying a real Victorian tea party dressed in hats and gloves. Rose

Heirloom Plant Sale

View, purchase, and even taste a variety of plants grown and potted by Master Gardeners at the historic Heritage House. Have the chance to taste and rate multiple varieties of heirloom tomatoes, vegetables, and edible flowers. Demonstrations and presentations are scheduled throughout the day to enlighten both beginning and experienced home gardeners. All proceeds benefit the Heritage House gardens.

HummingbirdGardening Demonstrations

Master gardeners provide presentations, informational handouts, and offer hands-on demonstrations while visitors enjoy the beautiful heirloom garden at the historic Heritage House.
