Mayor's Cup Soccer Challenge

Cup LogoFive Inland Empire cities have accepted City of Riverside Mayor Rusty Bailey’s invitation to compete in a regional Mayor’s Cup Soccer Challenge Tournament Saturday, May 2. The event held at Ramona High School, located at 7675 Magnolia Avenue, will vet teams against each other to compete for the title of Champion. Participating cities include Colton, Moreno Valley, Perris, Riverside and Victorville.

The event is free to the public and will feature demonstrations by Innovation Soccer Freestylers, food vendors and onsite LA Galaxy Street Team providing giveaways and raffles. Games begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. The inaugural event was developed to cultivate support and camaraderie in the Inland Empire through a positive yet competitive Mayor’s Cup Soccer Challenge. Participating cities developed their non-pro, coed teams by recruiting city residents 18 years and older to compete in the tournament.
