Published: 6/16/2017

RIVERSIDE, CA – On Thursday, June 15, 2017, Detectives from the Riverside Police Department’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit served a search warrant in the 1700 Block of Edmon Way, in the city of Riverside. This was part of an ongoing invasion of privacy investigation during the month of May 2017. The suspect, who was identified as Jonathan Gonzalez, 31-years-old of Riverside, followed victims into the dressing rooms at the Target department store, located in the 3300 block of Arlington Avenue. The investigation revealed that while Gonzalez was in the dressing room, he secretly recorded victims from an adjoining stall. Victims have identified Gonzalez as the suspect in this investigation.

Gonzalez was arrested on two counts of Invasion of Privacy and later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center. It is believed there are additional victims who have not come forward yet or may not know they were victimized.

The Riverside Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify any potential victims. If you recognize Gonzalez as someone who was in or near the dressing rooms in Target, or if you have information regarding this investigation, please contact Officer Frank Hoyos at (951) 353-7261 or [email protected].
