Riverside Municipal Airport Setting Goals for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises

Information on goals and methods of setting them open for public inspection

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Information is now available regarding the goals of the Riverside Municipal Airport (RAL) for working with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) for the fiscal years of 2019-2021.

DBEs are for-profit, small business concerns where socially and economically disadvantaged individuals own at least a 51% interest and also control management and daily business operations.

The City of Riverside has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for the Riverside Municipal Airport (RAL) in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. The City anticipates it will receive Federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, the City has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.

The airport has been working for several months on outreach to DBEs that might be interested in opportunities that may become available in the coming years.

Information about the Airport’s goals for DBEs is available for inspection between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Riverside Municipal Airport, 6951 Flight Road.

Comments on the DBE goals can be sent to: Purchasing Manager, DBELO, City of Riverside, 3900 Main Street, Riverside, CA  92522; or Thomas L. Knox. Jr., AWP-9, DBE/ACDBE Compliance Specialist, Federal Aviation Administration, Office of Civil Rights, AWP-9, 777 S. Aviation Blvd, Suite 150, El Segundo, CA 90245.
