Riverside Municipal Airport to Discuss Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Opportunities

Public meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 29 at airport, 6951 Flight Road

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Riverside Municipal Airport will hold a meeting at 2 p.m. Oct. 29 to discuss its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program and opportunities that may become available in the next year. The meeting will be held at the airport, 6951 Flight Road.

DBEs are for-profit, small business concerns where socially and economically disadvantaged individuals own at least a 51% interest and also control management and daily business operations.

The City of Riverside has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for the Riverside Municipal Airport (KRAL) in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. The City anticipates it will receive Federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, the City has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.

The meeting will provide information about potential opportunities for DBE participation in upcoming projects, gain input, and answer questions. People who may want to attend include, but are not limited to, minority, women’s and general contractor groups, community organizations, and other officials or organizations who may have interest or information pertinent to the implementation of the Airport’s DBE Program. The meeting is not mandatory, and a telecom call-in line will be provided on request.

Questions regarding the meeting or the DBE program at the Airport can be directed to Airport Manager Kim Ellis, who can be reached at (951) 351-6113 or [email protected].
