A MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF ABOUT OPENING OUR POLICE STATION LOBBIES

“Hi, Chief Larry Gonzalez here again to let you know we have opened up our police station lobbies for some in-person services.

Due to the coronavirus, I closed our station lobbies for the safety and well-being of our community members and employees.  Now, we are ready to open them up to handle some limited services, but we will still need to adhere to a few requirements to help keep in line with city and county health measures.

Beginning now, community members will have the ability to make an appointment for towed vehicles, property releases, subpoenas, livescan services, and citation sign-offs at our Orange Street (4102 Orange St.) and Magnolia Avenue (10540 Magnolia Ave.) police facilities.  And it’s really easy; just call (951) 826-5700.  The numbers are also listed in the attached flyer.

For alarm permits, or to obtain a copy of a police and/or traffic report, we will continue to handle these requests by phone, online, or by mail.  Same goes if you need to make a police report for a past crime or incident.  We still highly recommend using our online services to help expedite your need from the comforts and safety of your home or work.  Click this link for our online reporting feature:  https://riversideca.gov/rpd/resources-forms/how-do-i/file-online-police-....

For all in-person services at our police stations, we are requiring everyone to wear a face mask or covering and to maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet.  Additionally, only two people will be allowed inside at one time.  And if your service requires you to access our secured areas, for instance if you are getting livescanned, you will need to have your temperature checked prior to entry.

What we are requiring of the public is what I already require of my personnel that will be assisting you in the lobbies.

For this and all coronavirus information for our city, keep checking our city website at RiversideCA.gov/Covid-19 and follow all City, Police, Fire, and Office of Emergency Management social media.

Stay safe and healthy.”
