Homicide Investigation

RIVERSIDE, CA – On May 21, 2017, at approximately 10:28 pm, Riverside Police Officers responded to 3502 Adams Street (Shell Gas Station). The Riverside Police Department’s Communication Center received a 911 call from the attendant working at the gas station. The employee described a shooting that was taking place on their property directly in front of their gas pumps. Once patrol officers arrived, they located an adult male who was suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Members of the Riverside Fire Department, along with Emergency Medical Technicians, provided immediate medical aid and quickly transported the victim to the Riverside Community Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives from the Robbery – Homicide Unit, Gang Intelligence Unit and Evidence Technicians from the Forensic Unit responded to investigate. Detectives are being assisted by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office and the Riverside Sheriff – Coroner. The victim’s identity is pending a Coroner’s investigation.
