Short-term, hourly spaces, with first 90 minutes free, added at 9th and Orange streets

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside has added 32 new short-term, hourly public parking spaces, with the first 90 minutes free, at parking garage #6 at 9th and Orange streets.

The spaces will be available to anyone with business downtown, but will likely be especially attractive to people who need to the visit the Riverside Public Utilities facility at 9th and Orange, the nearby post office, or City Hall.

In order to make the spaces available, the City of Riverside relocated some employees who had been parking there to another existing garage immediately adjacent to City Hall. The need to add additional public spaces at garage #6 was identified in a recent parking study.

Drivers will access the garage from 9th street, just west of Orange Street. The attendant will direct drivers using the public parking spaces to the second level of the parking garage. Signs and markings on the floor will direct drivers to the public spaces.
