City of Riverside Schedules COVID-19 Vaccinations at Senior Centers

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside has partnered with Riverside County to bring a mobile COVID-19 vaccination van to senior centers around the city.

Appointments are required. Seniors ages 65 and up are eligible now; people younger than 65 with chronic medical conditions will be eligible starting March 15. Check you eligibility at https://covid19.ca.gov/vaccines/ before making an appointment.

“This mobile vaccination van brings the vaccine to locations our seniors know and feel comfortable going to,” Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson said. “This will provide an excellent complement to the thousands of vaccinations we have done at our clinic near the Riverside Convention Center.”

The van will be equipped with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which only requires one dose with no follow-up dose. The van will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the following days and locations:

Seniors who need assistance registering can contact 2-1-1 or the Office on Aging at (951) 867-3895.

“Our seniors are our most valuable resource, so it is gratifying to see this resource being made available to them.” Mayor Pro Tem Jim Perry said. “Many thanks to Riverside County for being such a great partner.”

Assistance with transportation is available by calling (951) 687-8080.
