City of Riverside Recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside has been recognized for the quality of its comprehensive financial reporting.
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the City with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2022.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. The certificate carries with it an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement (AFRA).
An impartial panel found that that City’s report met the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the City’s financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
