City of Riverside Encourages Residents to Sign Up for Riverside Alert

Published: 12/17/2018

The City of Riverside is proud to offer its residents Riverside Alert, a mass notification service designed to alert you in case of an emergency.

In the event of a crisis, good communication is one of the most important elements for your family's safety. Through the alert system,  the City of Riverside will issue notifications regarding potential safety hazards or concerns such as road closures, downed powerlines and much more.  Riverside Alert subscribers will receive messages on the voice or text communication methods that have been selected.

Once opted- in, this service allows you to receive notifications via phone calls, text messaging, e-mail and more based on your selected preferences. You can choose to receive notifications about events that may affect your home, workplace, family's schools and more.

To ensure that you receive the most up-to-date information available, you have the option to confirm once you have received a notification. All subsequent messages, from different methods of communication regarding that notification will stop. If you do not confirm, the system will continue to attempt to reach you through all of the contact paths you have registered for.

Residents are encouraged to subscribe, using the city’s online registration form. Once you have created your profile, you can come back at any time to update your information. Choose your preferred methods of communication and instantly be connected to the City of Riverside’s most important communication network.

*Your information will only be used for the notification system and will never be shared. You can stop receiving notifications at any time by removing your contact information from your profile.
