    FINAL UPDATE:

    The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to the 1900 Block of Linden for reports of a vegetation fire.  The first fire engine arriving on scene reported a fully involved backyard with the fire directly impacting two residential houses along with a Palm Tree ember casting in the light Santa Ana Winds impacting several adjacent residential houses and vehicles.  The alarm was upgraded to a structure response.  Firefighters made an aggressive fire attack and were able to save the structures and vehicles with no fire damage. 

    The fire originated in a homeless camp to the rear property of the structure.  There were no witnesses. 

    Estimated save is at $1,000,000 with a loss of $20,000. 

    Initial Update

    The City of Riverside is currently on scene of a palm tree and vegetation fire burning near structure.  Linden command has been established and the fire has been placed under control.  Fire crew wxpected to remain on scene for the next hour.  There are not any civillain or firefighter injuries reported.  The cause of the fire is under investiagtion.
