(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

On December 27th at 12:40 PM, The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with occupants trapped at Arlington Ave. and Airport Drive.  The initial reports indicated a vehicle was stuck under a semi-truck trailer.  The first engine on scene found a medium sized sedan under the trailer.  Additional resources responded to the incident including a truck company, heavy rescue, and  heavy wrecker for extrication. There were two patients trapped inside the car.  Fire department crews freed the occupants from the vehicle.  Both patients were transported by ambulance in moderate condition to a local area hospital.
