    On Saturday August 1, 2020, The City of Riverside Fire Department dispatched a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 1700 Block of Fairmount Blvd.  A Chief Officer arrived on scene to discover four working residential structure fires.  Two residential structures were on fire at 1755 Fairmount Blvd, one detached garage structure at 1765 Fairmount Blvd, and the one residential structure at 1755 Fairmount Blvd.  The incident was upgraded to a second and third alarm.  A total of 30 firefighters, two chief officers and two overhead personnel were assigned to the incident. 

    The fire had originated to the rear property of 1765 Fairmount Blvd in the backyard.  The fire was wind driven by the onshore winds and extended into the residential properties.  Arson Investigators on scene conducted a investigation and were unable to determine the cause after investigation. 

    There was one firefighter injury who was hit in the head by a fallen pine tree branch.  The firefighter was treated and released back to full duty from a local area hospital.

    One civilian was treated and released on scene after complaining of smoke inhalation. 

    Total estimated loss is at $400,000 with a combined estimated save at $700,000.
