On a concert tour of California, the Canadian classical duo pianists Anne Louise-Turgeon and Edward Turgeon will perform in Riverside at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 in the Memorial Chapel at Westmont Village (formerly Air Force Village West), 17050 Arnold Drive, Riverside. This is part of a concert series now called Westmont Village Concerts, a high quality musical series open to the public. The concert series, founded by Marilyn Sanguinet, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Cost is $25 with a discount for students. Only cash and checks are accepted at the door. Parking is free. Duo Turgeon has been critically acclaimed from its earliest debut at Weill Recital Hall, part of New York’s Carnegie Hall.
In the San Francisco Classical Voice, a reviewer wrote: “Subtle tugs on the invisible elastic that connects this duo created a seductive dance that left me panting. Tightly cohesive, their dramatic interpretations evoked duels, cooperation, negotiations, and perhaps even threats.”
