Anderson’s Playschool is Preparing Youth for Kindergarten Success

Published: 7/20/2023

Andersons Playschool, which is offering a specialized kindergarten preparation program at two City parks, will host a “meet and greet” with instructors at 6:30 p.m. on August 10th at Nichols Park and August 11th at Orange Terrace Community Center.

The program is for youth ages 3-5. Focusing on Common Core standards, the program equips young learners with essential skills and concepts required for phonics and math while fostering creativity through engaging art activities.

Anderson's Playschool understands the critical role that early childhood education plays in a child's overall development and academic success. With this in mind, the Kindergarten Preparation program is meticulously designed to provide children with a solid foundation before they embark on their formal education journey.

One of the unique aspects of Anderson's Playschool is the inclusion of art in its academic activities. By integrating art into their curriculum, Anderson's Playschool ensures children are exposed to a well-rounded educational experience.

Parents can choose between two, three, or five days a week, providing flexibility and convenience. The programs also are available at Orange Terrace Community Center (20010 Orange Terrace Pkwy.) and Joyce Jackson Community Center (5505 Dewey Ave.), ensuring accessibility for families across the area.

Parents can visit rivreg.org and search "Anderson's Playschool" or email Jeanette Anderson directly at [email protected]. The website provides comprehensive information about the program, including registration details, curriculum highlights, and more.
