The City of Riverside’s Development Department has traditionally administered several programs aimed at assisting local businesses and encouraging entrepreneurial investment.
However, during this time of economic change, the City is taking a proactive approach to better address the increased demands and challenges on our local businesses by shifting resources and time in order to enhance outreach and ombudsman services.
Several of the programs available to Riverside businesses are being customized to provide a deeper level of assistance. In addition, economic development staff augments their ability to support companies by utilizing other local, regional, state, and federal business assistance programs.
In reality, every client we assist begins with a phone call or site visit to review the plans and challenges the company is facing; the response is then customized, bringing in the key partners and program facilitators best suited to provide the businesses with the guidance and services they need.
The City of Riverside Economic Development Division is ready to provide services to stimulate economic development and assist in the development process for all new, relocating and expanding businesses.
