special care during disposal. It is illegal to dispose of
hazardous waste in the trash, down storm drains, or onto
the ground.

Americans generate 1.6 million tons of household hazardous waste per year. The average home can accumulate as much as 100 pounds in the basement, garage and storage closets. When improperly disposed of, household hazardous waste can create a potential risk to people and the environment.
Residents may dispose of household hazardous waste every non-holiday Saturday from 9 am-2 pm at the Agua Mansa Permanent HHW Facility, located at 1780 Agua Mansa Road, Riverside, 92509. For more information about the location of Riverside County HHW facilities, please CLICK HERE.
Liquid hazardous waste loads may not exceed fifteen gallons, with a total weight limit of 125 pounds per load. Residents may make multiple trips. For more information, please visit the Riverside County HHW Website.
