    Current Situation

    City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a rescue in La Sierra Hills.  Jeep carrying 3 individuals rolled off dirt roadway several times down a ravine. Fire crews hiked 1/2 mile through rough terrain to make access to victims.  Fire crews found 1 deceased victim still trapped within Jeep and two critical patients outside the vehicle.  1 critical patient was airlifted by Riverside County Sheriff Air Rescue 9.  Patient was transported to LLUMC with City of Riverside Paramedic providing patient care.  Second patient was loaded onto stokes basket and hiked out via fire crews to waiting ambulance.  Second patient was transported to LLUMC as well.
