    Final-

    The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of vegetation fire. Upon arrival we found about 1 acre of light flashy fuels involved in fire. The fire had about a 15 MPH wind. Crews engaged in fire attacked and extinguished the fire. The fire was started by an unattended homeless cooking fire. Due to the location, Riverside County Fire assisted at the scene. 

    No firefighter were injured.

     

    The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to the area of Van Buren x Jurupa for reports of a vegetation fire in the river bottom. Battalion 2 arrived on scene to find a 1 one-acre vegetation fire with a 100 acre potential. The fire was moving at a moderate rate of spread due to wind conditions. Cal Fire is providing mutual aid. At 1105 hours forward progress has been stopped.
