    The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire. The Riverside Communications Center advised of several reports to the 911 call center. In route to the incident a large column of smoke was seen. Upon arrival of the first in unit advised of an outside building that was well involved in fire. The out building was approximately 800 square feet. It housed several household and other miscellaneous items. As well as 8 to 12 goats. The fire extended to the property to the rear at 5868 Robinsons Ave and engulfed another outbuilding approximately 400 square feet. It also burned approximately 30 X 30 area of vegetation at the property of 5890 Robinsons Ave.

    The home owner stored manure and hay near the outbuilding. The home owner as had issues with the grass and manure spontaneous igniting. He saw the piles start to smoke. He returned with a garden hose and the fire was too far gone. Unfortunately, all of the goats perished during this incident. Riverside County Animal control assisted.

    The fire was extinguished and the area was overhauled. No firefighters were injured during this incident.
