    The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in a multi-family dwelling in the 6000 block of Rutland Avenue. Upon arrival of the 1st due Engine Company, the captain reported heavy smoke coming from the back unit of a single-story multi-family dwelling. Riverside fire fighters stretched hose lines to attack the fire in the kitchen of the 3-bedroom apartment. The fire was quickly knocked down and firefighters confirmed that no victims were trapped in the apartment. Riverside City firefighters remained on scene to overhaul the fire and assist 3 displaced adults with obtaining their belongings from the apartment. The American Red Cross was contacted, to assist 3 displaced males with food and lodging. The cause of a fire was electrical in nature. Occupants from adjoining apartments were able to return. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries during the incident.
