    Ward 3 Soubirous / Riverside Airport / 6951 Flight Road / RIV Incident #19-015474 On Monday, May 27, 2019 at 5:06 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to an Alert 3 (Aircraft Crash) at the Riverside Airport. Firefighters arrived on scene to discover a Cessna 182 upright off of the runway on airport property with a collapse landing gear and the two occupants out of the aircraft. Upon landing on Runway 27, the pilot reported the passenger side landing gear collapsed pulling the aircraft to the right and off of the runway. The aircraft had travelled through a ditch and remained upright. The pilot and his passenger were non-injured. There was leaking fuel from the aircraft wing and Firefighter¿s were able to stop the fuel leak. The incident was transferred to Airport Director. NTSB and FAA were notified of the incident. The aircraft will remain in place pending the investigation by NTSB and FAA. Runway 9/27 is closed pending the investigation. The cross runway 16/34 is open.
