    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

On October 13th, 2022, at 10:15 a.m., the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire reported at the Meadows Mobile Home Park at 4000 Pierce St.  Firefighters arrived on scene and found a working fire at the back of a one-story house.  Two residents were found inside the front door attempting to evacuate.  Meadows Command was established, and an AMR ambulance was requested for the incident.  Firefighters initiated an aggressive attack on the fire and were able to keep it contained to an attached exterior workshop and storage area.

The cause of the fire was determined accidental due to an unattended candle burning.  The residents inside the house were able to evacuate.  The main house was reoccupied and there were not any displaced residents.  There were two civilian injuries reported that did not require ambulance transport.
