(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to reports of a house on fire on the 3300 block of Lemon.  The first arriving units reported light smoke issuing from an upstairs window to the rear of the building.  Upon further investigation it was learned that there was a small fire in the wall and attic space of the building.  Engine companies deployed hose lines and extinguished the fire keeping it to the area of origin. Crews remained on scene for approximately 2 hours to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished.  The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental in nature.
