    On February 11, 2024, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire reported at the 2100 block of John St.  Fire department crews arrived on scene and found a working fire in a medium one-story house.  The fire originated in an attached carport and spread into a 2 car garage.  The first arriving unit quickly and efficiently attacked the fire and were able to limit the spread to the garage.  There was minimal damage to the living quarters of the residence.  The cause of the fire was failure of equipment.  There were a total of two displaced residents.  There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.  The loss was $100,000 to the structure and another $100,000 to the contents.
