    On Monday October 5, 2020 at 7:31 a.m. The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 1500 Block of Irving for reports of an outbuilding on fire.   Firefighters arrived to discover two outbuildings to the rear of a residential property on fire.  Firefighters extinguished the fire and held the fire to the two outbuildings that were on fire.  The residential owners are running a party rental supply business to the rear of the property.  A family pet was found deceased in the fire in a dog kennel cage.  The fire cause was undetermined after investigation by on duty arson investigators.  The loss is estimated at $50,000 with a save of $250,000. 

    Riverside County Animal Control responded to the incident to secure the deceased family pet.  Code Enforcement, Fire Prevention along with Building and Safety responded to the incident.   A total of 17 firefighters, one chief officer and one safety officer responded to the incident.  There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
