    On December 21st, 2023, The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire reported near the 900 block of Columbia Ave.  Fire department crews arrived on scene and found heavy black smoke coming from behind a large commercial warehouse.  Upon further investigation the fire department personnel found a pile of tires burning up against the building.  An aggressive attack was initiated, and the fire was contained to the building’s exterior.  The interior and roof investigated and there were not any hazards identified.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  There were not any civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
