    On July 20th, 2022, at 9:25 a.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 2600 Block of Bowie Ct., for reports of a house on fire with an occupant trapped.  Firefighters arrived on scene to discover no smoke or fire showing.  Firefighters entered the structure to find a bedroom with some of the room contents on fire and discovered a deceased adult male in the bedroom.  The adult male had obvious signs of death.  The fire was extinguished along with a primary and secondary search completed with no other occupants located in the structure.

    The City of Riverside Arson Investigator Task Force responded to the scene along with City of Riverside Police Department to conduct the investigation.  City of Riverside Fire Department Chaplains responded to the incident as well for family support.  The Riverside County Coroner responded to the incident. 

    The cause of the fire remains under investigation.  There were no other civilian or firefighter injuries.
