Upon arrival, Riverside City Firefighters found a well-involved apartment unit on the 1st floor of a 3-story apartment building. They also found 2 subjects down on the front lawn. Riverside firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire from the exterior and focus their attention to ensuring all occupant were with either out of the building or sheltering in their apartments. Firefighters contacted all occupants and kept most of them safe in their apartments until smoke could be removed from main hallways by fans. The two subjects on the front lawn were evaluated by Riverside City Fire Paramedics with assistance from AMR ambulance. Both patients, one the occupant of the apartment that burned, and another a visitor were released. A third patient was also evaluated but not transported.
