Bios:
Elizabeth Kavianian

Elizabeth Kavianian is a senior Public Policy major and Gender and Sexuality Studies minor, graduating in June 2020. She is passionate about reproductive justice issues and promoting public health initiatives and improving community health. She is currently an intern at the Planned Parenthood Action Fund of the Pacific Southwest, where she is focusing on creating a campaign to encourage participation, especially from college students, in the upcoming census. Additionally, she is very involved in campus leadership roles in her involvement in Planned Parenthood Generation Action, Delta Epsilon Mu, and the Student Health Center Advisory Committee. One day she aspires to work in the field of maternal and child healthcare and eliminate the disparities within this sector.

Samuel Roberts

Samuel Roberts is a fourth year Public Policy Major graduating in June 2020. He is a Dean's Ambassador for the UCR School of Public Policy, a Campus Leader for the UC Advocacy Network, a tutor on campus, and on the board of Hillel. Additionally, he is currently working on his Capstone project with Professor David Pion-Berlin, in which he is analyzing the shift of Venezuelan government from a democracy to a dictatorship. Currently, Samuel has been working with the UC Office of the President and UC Riverside to develop educational social media content encouraging students to vote. After graduation, Samuel hopes to enter into a fellowship and subsequently work within local or state government across California.
