Reading-Writing Connection #3: Share your love of Reading and Writing!

Event Information

The Riverside Public Library seeks to inspire a love of reading and writing in children of all ages, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds. With the proper support and encouragement, and the use of a clever graduated framework, children can be taught to enjoy expressing themselves and using their imagination. Through stories and virtually guided activities, we aspire to remove the fear-factor from written expression in a safe, fun, and judgement-free environment. Through early childhood literacy, focusing on ages 5-8, we expect the children to gain confidence, have increased competency in school, and experience more favorable social and economic outcomes.

This project is a program of the Riverside Public Library, supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
