Riverside, Calif. – The city’s Board of Public Utilities welcomed Nick Ferguson as its newest member during its regularly scheduled meeting today.
Ferguson, a 12-plus year resident of Riverside, brings decades of diverse experience to the Board table which includes serving as School Superintendents for the Alvord, and Riverside Unified School Districts, as well as being in charge of construction and modernization projects for over 60 schools throughout the area.
“I am really looking forward to serving my community in this new way and help improve and enhance the quality of life for all the residents in Riverside,” Ferguson said. He will represent the city’s Ward 3 area.
The Board also voted to keep its current Board Chair, Justin Scott-Coe and Vice Chair Ian Davidson over the next year. Riverside's Board of Public Utilities is composed of nine citizen-volunteers appointed by the City Council to four-year terms without compensation.
