RPU WINS NATIONAL MARKETING & COMMUNICATION AWARDS

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) has won a national organization’s highest award for creative marketing.

RPU recently won two Association of Marketing & Communications Professionals (AMCP) Platinum Awards for informative brochures with its “Business Incentive Programs” and “Financial Report 2007-08” publications. The awards are given to only the most outstanding entries in the competition.

RPU also garnered a Gold Award for its marketing and customer awareness efforts with “Green Action Plan – Sustainable Communities” pamphlet and an Honorable Mention for its radio program: “Green Power Report: Xtreme Green.”

Sponsored by the AMCP each year, the MarCom Awards is an international creative competition recognizing outstanding achievements by marketing and communications professionals.

“RPU has always strived to give as much information as possible to our customers, bondholders and other interested parties to let them know the status of our utility, “said Reiko Kerr, assistant general manager of finance and customer services. “These awards let us know that we’re fulfilling that goal in a creative format.”
