Riverside’s power comes from a variety of energy resources
including natural gas, coal, nuclear and hydroelectric power
plants. Our Electric Utility has a long-standing history of providing
service to the City of Riverside and was enacted by City Charter
in 1883.
The Electric Utility is responsible for the generation, transmission
and distribution of electric power for sale within the city.
We have over 103,000 electric meter connections and sold over
2,413 millions of kilowatt-hours of energy in fiscal year 2004/05. |

your bill. |
| RPU fully complies with California's
power source disclosure program which assures retail electricity
customers get full and accurate information about the electricity
