Riverside Public Utilities is committed to supporting and building alternative methods of generating power through renewable resources.

One example is our 150-kilowatt photovoltaic generation station carport. Entirely paid for through public benefits funds, this project is just one of the ways the Utility provides the City of Riverside with renewable energy, assuring our power needs are met today and tomorrow.

• 150-Kilowat Photovoltaic Generation Station, consisting of 2,016 75-watt modules
• Generates enough electricity to power approximately 100 homes
• Provides shade for 152 parking spaces
• Environmentally friendly, clean source of renewable power
• Displaces tons of pollutants annually - Carbon Dioxide, Sulfur Dioxide, and Nitrogen Oxides
• Paid for entirely with public benefits funds
