Riverside Public Utilities offers business customers incentives
for replacing older inefficient motors with the most energy efficient
motors available. |
| Incentives range from $35 to $630, with a maximum rebate of $25,000
per customer account. |
- Monetary Incentive - Incentives that help offset the
cost of purchasing new high efficiency equipment.
- Return on Investment - Daily savings on your energy
consumption and electric bill from the installation of new
high efficiency equipment.
- Managing your resources - Effectively managing your
resources can help your business or institution save money
and increase efficiency.

| Incentives are available on Premium Efficiency motors. Qualifying
equipment includes 1 to 200 horsepower National Electrical Manufacturers
(NEMA) designs A and B, three phase, integral horsepower; general
purpose motors (1200, 1800, 3600 RPM). Specifications for these
motors are available on the nameplate data on the motor. Motors
in cooling equipment, electrical equipmentor machinery, and variable
speed or frequency drives may qualify based on the horsepower of
the NEMA rated premium motor in the product. |

are subject to approval by RPU.
- Qualified motors must be installed
and in operation at the customer's service address.
