Riverside Public Utilities offers business customers a variety of incentive programs for energy efficiency improvements. Our goal is to develop programs that meet the needs of our customers. By working together, we may be able to help you conserve energy and save on your energy costs.

Riverside Public Utilities offers incentives to business customers for replacement or installation of central air conditioning units with high efficiency equipment.

Cash Incentive
Rebates of $100/ton are available for Energy Star air conditioning units including Heat Pumps, Package A/C, and Chiller Systems.

Program Guidelines
  • Program is subject to fund availability and may be cancelled at any time.
  • All Energy Star units are eligible.
  • The SEER rating must be equal to or greater than 14.0.
  • A matching evaporator coil must be installed to qualify for the rebate.
  • A copy of the original, dated sales receipt must be provided, and is subject to verification. The sales receipt must note the make, model number, serial number, tonnage, and SEER rating of the new unit(s).
  • All General Program Guidelines apply.
