| :: All About Riverside's Urban Forest Program |
| Riverside is known as the City of Trees. Thanks to our
founders and continued generations of committed citizens and government
officials, a lush Urban Forest has been created in our community. |
| Trees provide many aesthetic, environmental, and economic values,
including clean air and increased property values. |
 |
Power Line Tree Trimming Program |
| The City of Riverside Public Utilities and Public Works Departments trims all city-owned and privately-owned trees away from power lines throughout Riverside. You can help keep people and property safe by planting right-sized trees on your property near power lines. |
 |
Urban Forest Policy |
| Urban Forestry is under the direction of the Public Works Department.
It oversees some 100,000 street trees and another 30,000+ trees
in parks and open space areas and is responsible for maintaining
the City's trees. |
