Draining a Pool
Before draining your pool, please call the city’s Environmental Compliance Division at 951-351-6140 (dial 311 after normal business hours) for approval. Pools may not be drained into our storm drains, street gutters or sewer manholes. Pools must be drained through your on-site sewer clean-out.

311 Call Center
The City of Riverside’s Call Center provides a centralized point of contact for any non-emergency call for city information and services. The 311 Call Center should be utilized for all sewer related issues. The Call Center can be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week by dialing 951-826-5311. You can also email the Call Center at CallCenter@RiversideCA.Gov or simply complete the 311 Call Center Form online.

Plant Tours
The Riverside Water Quality Control Plant is committed to providing an educational experience focusing on the importance of wastewater treatment in protecting the public health and the environment. Tours are generally provided to schools, clubs, organizations, and other groups of 5 or more. To find out more information or to schedule a tour call us at 951-351-6140.

R.V. & Septic Hauler Dump Station Hours
Riverside Water Quality Control Plant has a R.V. dump station at 5950 Acorn Street, located between Jurupa Avenue and Van Boulevard. The service is free for recreational vehicle users and offered 7 days a week Mon – Fri 7:00am to 5:00pm, Sat - Sun 12:00pm to 4:00pm. For more information on this facility call 951-351-6140.

Dye Test
Dye Tests are usually performed when you are not sure if you are connected to the sewer line. The Riverside Water Quality Control Plant is committed to providing important information in a timely manner. Dye Tests are provided at no charge to residents within the city limits. The test can be scheduled Monday through Friday, and are usually performed around 12:00 p.m. Weekend tests are not available. Requests should be made at least a week in advance.
