Sewer Public Benefit Program Presentations and Events

Presentations

Public Works Department Employees visit the community and present helpful information about proper Grease and Pharmaceutical disposal. Presentations are tailored to meet needs of the group, with target ages ranging from Kindergarten to Adults. Presentations usually last 15-20 minutes depending on audience involvement.

Neighborhood groups located in high frequency cleaning areas, areas where the sewer lines have to be cleaned more often due to grease and other blockages, are given presentations first. Each presentation includes discussion, handouts, and giveaways.

School presentations include a storm water pollution prevention diorama demonstration, with interactive discussion for the students.

Events

Public Works Department Employees attend local health fairs and events to present important information to the community. Event participation includes an educational booth with our storm water diorama, handouts and giveaways, and a staff member to answer questions and interact with the public.
