Implementation of the Residential Sewer Public Benefits Program begins in fiscal year 2010-11 and includes the development of a Marketing/Public Awareness campaign—educational tools appropriate for residential customers would be identified and distributed.

Residential customers will be sent post card information introducing the program. Along with the program description, the post cards will educate residents on the impacts of disposing pollutants such as: fats, oils, grease, and pharmaceuticals into the sewer system. The intent is to promote a consistent message on how the reduction of these items in the sewer system will ultimately result in lower treatment costs at the RWQCP.
