Public Assistance Sought in Identifying Sexual Offender

Riverside, Ca- The Riverside Police Department is investigating a rape that occurred on Thursday June 21, 2007 in the 3700 block of Jefferson Street. At approximately 0700 hours, a lone white male adult entered an unlocked residence and assaulted the adult female who was at home with her young child. The suspect was armed with a knife and directed the woman into her bedroom and assaulted her. The suspect stole the victim’s wallet and cell phone and fled on foot. The child was not injured.

The suspect is described as:

  • Suspect: White male adult, 20’s, 6-0 tall, thin build, no facial hair, unknown hair color.

  • Clothing: Black baseball cap “IE” on the front in “Old English” script, frameless mirrored sunglasses, Black T-Shirt with an unknown design on the left side, tan / khaki baggie shorts, unknown shoes, black backpack.

This investigation contains similar characteristics with three sexual assaults that were previously discussed in a Corona Police Department press release dated May 11, 2007.

Residents are cautioned to be aware of their surroundings at all times and to lock all access points to their residences.
