Suspicious Circumstances: Possible child abduction

Riverside, Ca- On June 10, 2007 at about 1445 hours, Riverside Police Dispatch received a call from a witness that observed the following suspicious circumstances. According to the witness, a female juvenile had been walking on the sidewalk in the company of a male adult Northbound on Market Street at Fourth Street. A passing vehicle pulled to the side of the road near the two. The man and juvenile entered the side door of the van. As the van sped away from the location, the witness overheard the juvenile screaming. Below are descriptions provided by the witness:

  • Possible Victim: 7-9 years old Female, unknown race, “light complexion.”
    Last seen wearing light colored shirt & shorts.

  • Suspect: White Male Adult 40-42 years old thin with blonde hair.
    Unknown clothing.

  • Suspect Vehicle: Older White Chevrolet Van with “off white,” pink or yellow colored curtains over the side window. Spare tire with white cover affixed to the back door. Unknown license plate.

The California Highway Patrol’s Emergency Notification and Tactical Alert Center (ENTAC) has been contacted and local law enforcement agencies have also been provided this information.
