Homicide investigation

Riverside, Ca- Riverside Police Department is investigating an apparent but unconfirmed homicide in an orange grove near the intersection of Dufferin Avenue and McAllister Street, in the Arlington Heights area of the city.

A pair of agricultural workers inspecting an orange grove discovered a large wrapped bundle at about 9 a.m., Tuesday, July 17. Preliminary investigation indicates that the discovery is that of a deceased human adult, dropped off in the grove fairly recently. Because of the wrapping, further identification cannot be determined at this time. The crime scene is being carefully processed.
