Attempted Murder at 12th & Park
Riverside, Ca- On May 27, 2006 at approximately 7:30 pm the Riverside Police Department Dispatch Center received a phone
call regarding gunshots fired at a group of subjects near Lincoln Park. Responding officers searched the area, but were unable to
locate evidence of gun shot victims.
Officers did locate a female lying near a red Toyota and discovered she had been struck by a Ford truck. Witnesses informed Officers
the driver of the Ford truck had fled on foot. The preliminary investigation revealed shot's were fired at the park and citizens
began to flee to avoid injury. In the process the driver of the Ford lost control of his truck and struck the female who was also
leaving the park at the time of the shooting. The driver of the Ford was located and arrested for hit & run.
A short time later, Riverside Community Hospital staff contacted Riverside Police dispatch and informed that two subjects had arrived
at the hospital with non-life threatening gun shot wounds. The victims stated they were in the area of Lincoln Park when they were
shot. They had no suspect description. Officers searched the area for evidence with negative results.
